Digital Samba Embedded
Dashboard and API
New Features
We've enhanced our dashboard's user experience by making Rooms the homepage, which is consistently the most visited page.
We've improved user experience in the 'room settings' by updating the 'recordings' tab. Now, when the main 'Recordings' setting is off, all related sub-settings are automatically hidden, reducing clutter and distractions.
We've updated the Welcome banner's CTA to 'Start videoconferencing', replacing 'Start Session'. This aims to streamline onboarding by making the action clearer to new users, ensuring they know what to expect when they click.
Fixed
We have resolved a bug that was preventing our Welcome banner from loading properly.
We have resolved an issue where the system incorrectly indicated that a friendly URL was already taken. Users experienced this when they first entered a URL already in use, received a validation error, and then changed to an unused URL. Despite the update, the validation error erroneously persisted. This fix ensures the validation process correctly resets upon entering a new, available URL, providing accurate feedback.
In-Room
New Features
We revised the 'Turn on camera' label in the Participants panel context menu to 'Ask to turn on camera' for greater accuracy in describing the action.
Samba Live
In-Room
Fixed
We have fixed an error wherein the polls context menu would appear truncated for Safari users.
We've resolved a layout issue that affected Safari users, where breakout room names were vertically misaligned with their corresponding icons on the breakout rooms panel.
