New Features
- Added an new option called "Picture-in-picture" in the "Create a New Room" and "Default room settings" sections.
In-Room
Picture-in-Picture (PiP)
The new Picture-in-picture is designed to optimize multitasking during live sessions. PiP allows participants to pull out video and audio tiles into a separate, floating window, enabling them to continue watching or listening to the conference while working on other applications.
Other benefits include:
- Flexible display: The floating window is resizable and can be moved anywhere on the screen, allowing users to position it according to their preferences without interfering with other tasks.
- Enhanced screen sharing experience: When screen sharing, you can still monitor other participants, ensuring that no visual cues or reactions are missed.
- Full control: In PiP mode, participants can mute and unmute themselves and others, turn cameras on or off, raise their hand, and even leave the session without exiting the floating window.
- Seamless transition: At any moment, participants can close the PiP window or return to the main meeting screen with ease.
Note: Picture-in-picture is available only under Chrome desktop browser and not yet available in an embedded (iframe) scenario.
Fixed
- Fixed an issue where the join screen was unnecessarily displayed for a brief moment.
